FISHTECH™ INC. welcomes inquiries from seed producers who may wish to supply to our customers.

As those experienced in abalone know the successful supply of abalone seed is not an “off the shelf” service. At FISHTECH™ INC. we do our best to match supplies to the needs of customers.           

The following species are normally available with moderate notice:

• Haliotis rufescens (Red Abalone)

• H. fulgens (Green Abalone)

• H. discus hannai (Ezo Awabi)

• H. diversicolor supertexta (Tokobushi)

• H. asinina (tropical Asses ear Abalone)

Other species may be available with months advance notice - we will endeavor to assist.

Pricing: Abalone seed prices are based upon shell length and are quoted C&F per your international airport. Prices for substantial quantities normally range from US$0.02 per mm to US$0.04 per mm.             

Minimum Seed Shipment: normally 5,000 seeds. 

Survival Guarantee: Normally seeds are guaranteed for live arrival for 24 hours after arriving at your site. Water to water time must be less than 60 hours. 

Health Certification: This area has become more difficult in the last few years following introduction of diseases where abalone has been suspected of being the vector. There are a large variety of requirements specific to local health authorities. You should check with your country’s primary industries or environmental or import authorities prior to contacting FISHTECH™ INC.. Once you have official notification of the required Health Examinations and Reports and knowledge of the certification status required for the testing laboratories we can arrange the testing and certification. At purchasers option and cost, abalone seed ordered may be visually inspected prior to shipment and tested by any laboratory of purchasers choice.
